1. In the past couple of days, many voters in House District 42 received a mailer from
"Floridians for Conservative Values," a group funded by some of Tallahassee’s most
powerful special interest groups.
2. The special interests in Tallahassee don’t like or support Marlene O’Toole because
of her strong stands on the issues and her unwillingness to be anything other than a
voice for the voters of District 42.
3. Be on the alert! These special interest groups are desperate and are assisting Will
Pruitt by trying to twist the truth to smear Marlene O’Toole.
THE MAILER
Allegation: The mailer calls Marlene a liberal and strongly implies that she
supports casinos coming to District 42.
• Fact #1: Marlene O’Toole is a strong, pro-life and pro-second amendment
conservative endorsed by State Senator Carey Baker, Representative Hugh Gibson, and
Representative Alan Hays, and Marlene has never supported the expansion of gambling in
Florida!
• Fact #2: Will Pruitt is the only candidate in this race that has accepted
money from gambling entities.
• Fact #3: Gambling entities have given over $20,000 to "Floridians for
Conservative Values," the same organization that is trying to smear Marlene
O’Toole.
• Fact #4: Not one statement on the mailer has a legitimate citation provided as
evidence of their attack.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
Don’t get caught up in the political mudslinging and the politics as usual coming from
powerful special interest groups.
Call Will Pruitt at his campaign office (352) 821-0101 and tell
him to stop using lies and misinformation to attack another Republican.
Ask him to sign Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment Pledge!
